I found the staff attentive and helpful. Breakfast service was especially quick. I enjoyed the classic full English breakfast. The cooking was well done. The building features grand Victorian architecture, I liked this.
My room was a bit too warm. I was unable to control the temperature myself, and the phone did not work so I could not call for assistance.

The hotel sits near a bus stop. It is VERY convenient for reaching the town center and other destinations. The bus station is close. The hotel has spacious public seating areas. Our room featured comfortable twin beds and two chairs. There was sufficient space for clothes and a nice bathroom.

A stay with some minor issues

friendly staffclean roomgreat breakfastfew socketsroom interiorshabby bathroom
The staff were very friendly, a great asset to the hotel. My room was lovely and clean i thought. Breakfast was great with lots of choice as well. It was close too town centre too.
The room i had did not have any sockets near the bed. This is not ideal and quite unusual these days i feel. The interior itself could do with an upgrade. The bathroom looks a bit shabby for me.

large car parkloose hot tapunsealed bath plug
The hotel had a very large car park, a detail I always appreciate when traveling by car.
My experience included a couple of notable issues. The hot tap in the sink was loose, moving a full 180 degrees when used. The bath plug did not seal properly. Water continually drained away, so a bath was out of the question (a rather disappointing situation).
